Entering the house, Jacob had good standing relationships with the majority of the cast. He immediately gravitated to the newbie wildcard Carson and quickly found a mutually trusting bond with him. For the first few weeks, Jacob was able to lay low and stay under the radar. However it was during Week 3 when the final nominees were Ari and Carson when Jacob's true colors showed and he had to make a choice between his newfound friend and ally and then his pre existing relationships and Evil Team. Ultimately he decided to evict Ari which got back to her best friend Connor and made Jacob less trustworthy to those who were on his team. He helped to find the Slade's Puppets alliance which consisted of himself, Julia Rae,
Ruthie and Carson which controlled the late pre-jury and early jury phase of the game. A pivotal moment in Jacob's game was when he won Head of Household Week 8 and the color of veto was No Veto meaning that he got to nominate two houseguests for instant eviction. Instead of going for larger targets, Jacob nominated Christian and Kaitlyn, sending Christian to jury. Two weeks later, he and Carson were targeted by Connor and found themselves as final nominees. At the special live eviction, the vote was revealed to be 5 to 0 in Jacob's favor, but when Rhea played her Rose Gold Power of Veto, the votes were flipped and Jacob was the first houseguest to ever be evicted with 0 votes to evict. Jacob competed in the buyback competition shortly after this eviction and was unsuccessful. On jury, he and Julia Rae were known for rooting for Kaleigh and fighting Justin when he made his eventual return to jury.
